1. Being greeted by two (excellent and unfrightening) dogs called Cupid and Don Juan sets the tone very well. Franc makes you feel instantly at home, and before we'd even thought about our rooms, we were sitting down and having a chat. It's a very peaceful house, in a lovely setting. We didn't have too long - a late arrival and an early departure next day - but it was a very good base. Franc's a terrific host, and the house was lovely - it's got lots of curves, and is designed around the Golden Section, which gives a sense of fitting its name. My room was clean and homely. I slept like a log. And apart from the dogs, there are cats (among the friendliest you could hope to meet) and pigs. A lovely haven in what had been a busy (working) weekend.”
2. Beautiful lady beautiful
animals and fantastic conversation about all things
healing/spiritual/animals/writing/painting/lovely. I really hope we will meet
Frances again one day. One in a million. Xx
3. Frances is a host so kind and
welcoming. She really made us feel that her home was our home during the three
days we spent at Harmony Hall. At breakfast, Frances turned into DJ and we listened
to the songs we wanted on her computer. Brilliant!!! Frances is surrounded by
animals; two dogs, three cats, two pigs and a pony! Our son Mael had a great time
with them.
4. It was our first night in
Ireland and Harmony Hall was very welcoming. Frances is very lovely. We are
happy to talk and share time with her. Our children enjoyed playing with the
pets. Thanks Frances.
5. Frances' place is a really
fantastic space. Loved her menagerie of pets, the great company, conversation
and delicious food. Frances is a lovely, considerate host for sure.
6. We loved being offered a vegan breakfast. We had realized that it is far more complicated to be vegan in Ireland than in Germany. So having the opportunity to have a traditional Irish breakfast in a vegan way was really great. We also enjoyed talking to Frances so much and helping with the pen. We hope that the pig Rebecca hasn't escaped yet :)
(I must reply to this lot soon and report that beyond escaping, Rebecca is not even confined anymore - she has a husband now, Legend, and they have a free run of the garden and the stable for their den at night).

7. The warmth of Frances, the views from the dining-room, the chance to spend some time with Frances' animals, were what we loved best.
8. Very quiet location, in the middle of nature and animals. Very welcoming, very open and nice.
9. We spent a week with Frances and it was brilliant. We couldn't have asked for more, we were made feel really welcome and right at home. It was with work that brought us here and just wanted somewhere we could relax and have down time and the 5 of us really enjoyed ourselves. There's something really special about this house and can't wait to go back. Next time there will be no work either!! Thank you for your great hospitality and see you again soon!!
10. This is how welcome Frances
made my family feel: we were coming to Ireland to celebrate my parents'
fortieth anniversary, and she had made a cake to celebrate, which she served
when we arrived! Incredibly thoughtful. She's an engaging, friendly, caring
host, and makes a delightful vegetarian breakfast. The house is spacious, with
a very large bathroom and comfortable beds. And there are two friendly dogs,
two friendly cats, and a pony with an interesting back story. You will not be
bored, but you will relax.
11. Franc is such a beautiful
person! We felt as though we were spending time with old friends, it was
amazing! Her house is so beautiful and her animals were wonderful to spend time
with! We had a family style dinner and stayed up chatting! The experience was
more than we ever could have hoped for and we are so thankful for everything
they did for us.
12. Frances herself and the
wonderful animals! There was absolutely nothing to improve!
13. It was all of the comforts of
home - rest and relaxation. Plus, just an atmosphere of health and wellness -
emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc.
14. Frances' house was a wonderful
place for healing and rest. She made us feel so comfortable and loved. I
enjoyed so much being around her loving animals.
15. Our stay at Harmony Hall was
very lovely! Frances was a beautiful host, making our stay very memorable! Her
home is full of love and light and magic! The bed was very comfortable and
breakfast was delicious!
16. Staying at Harmony Hall with
Frances was absolutely fantastic! I could not be more in love with this place!
It was a little bit of heaven on earth, and Frances herself is a total angel!
She is so positive, intuitive, helpful, engaging, and accommodating, and all
her beautiful qualities come out in her enchanting home which enriches the
soul.
17. Even though I got in late, she
was more than willing to help me out and offer anything I needed, even a big
hug! I had such a great time talking to her too, since she welcomes you like a
dear friend.
18. The bedroom is charming with a
comfy bed, and the bathroom is huge with a great view. There was even a
comforting hot water bottle in my bed to warm it up! She thinks of everything.
:) In the morning, I was greeted by a delicious, healthy vegan breakfast that
was nothing short of amazing. I truly cannot say enough positive things about
my stay here, and I wish it could have been for more than one night! Thank you
so much, Frances! It was magical!
19. We met Frances as a very kind
person spreading lots of positive energy and her dogs are just adorable.
Something we will definitely never forget is the incredible view over the
landscape.
20. It was a really great experience...
only a few days, but it had a really great effect on all of us... it's all thanks
to Frances.
21. We felt very welcome and
comfortable at Franc's house. We were treated like friends. The vegan breakfast
tasted fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The whole place was very clean.
I'd definitely recommend staying there!
22. Hi Frances, I really enjoyed
talking to you and appreciate the healing you gave us. Thank you for the lovely
stay!
23. Very warm comfortable home. I
felt very welcomed from the first moment I arrived. If you need a place to
relax in the countryside of Ireland then this is a great choice. Very short
drive to Kilkenny city but to be honest didn't want to leave home. The little dogs
were such a treat. Thank you so much guys for a great stay. Will see you soon.
24. What a warm and friendly
welcome we received form Frances! The house and the surroundings are quite
stunning.
25. We had a wonderful first
experience with airbnb. Frances is a very good hostess. She was very friendly.
We had never eaten a vegan breakfast before but it was lovely! The house is in
a very silent place in the countryside. Thanks a lot!
26. Frances is one of a kind, quite
unique in the way she lives. She's full of energy, joy and creative ideas
concerning sustainability, renewable sources, innovative ways to generate
energy and so on - all themes that captivated me for decades. She stands up
against projects that will bring damage to the environment of the community.
She designed her beautiful and particular house all by herself. She takes care
of two horses and two lovely little dogs. We enjoyed our stay with Frances very
much: the fun and laughters, the singing together, the delicious breakfasts
together, the tasty bread she bakes, the beautiful room (good bed!) and
bathroom. There's so much more inspiring to mention... " BRILLIANT!!"
We can only recommend a stay with Frances!!!
27. What a good time we had! Dear
Frances, thank you so much. We love the way you're doing things - thinking out
of the box and fully trusting on your heart and intuition. That's the way we
try to live. Hope to cross path with you some day....
28. Our stay in Frances’ house was
really great. The warm and relaxing atmosphere let me and my husband feel as if
we were together with some old friends. Besides our children have fallen in
love with the two delicious dogs Don Juan and Cupid. Absolutely recommended!
29. Stayed in Harmony Hall with my
family last Friday ...when I was bringing my daughter into work on Monday
morning she said I wish I was in Harmony Hall having Breakfast in that lovely
peaceful house looking out at those wonderful views. Franc thanks we will be
back.
30. Lovely peaceful house. My youngest
fell in love with Cupid.
31. The stay at Harmony Hall
was great. Frances played a serenade on her grand piano in the morning, that
was amazing. Very lovely person and a good place to relax.

32. What can I say? Her place was
an island of tranquility. Set way back in the Irish countryside, its location
and the accommodations are first class. Franc was gracious, light hearted,
organized, a good cook and had a great laugh. I'd go again just to work in the
garden.
33. We really enjoyed our stay in
this lovely hideaway! Would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed time
away from it all!
34. I had a wonderful, relaxing,
inspiring time with Franc. I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm and
suggestions on how to spend the evening. We painted, dined on delicious
vegetarian food, and looked at archetype cards together. Franc has a
magnetizing energy about her, and is one of the most genuine and passionate
people I've met (and I meet a lot of people!). The accommodations were very
comfortable and the surrounding nature absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Thank
you Franc for a wonderful first night in Ireland!
35. It was such a pleasure and so
easy to talk with Frances. Everything was perfect. One really feels at home
there and we want to come back!
36. I stayed one night with Frances
and it was great! I was very late, but despite that they waited for me and had
a delicious dinner ready for when I arrived! I felt very welcomed and
comfortable in this lovely home! Thank you!
37. We had a great night away.
Frances even made a cake for my daughter's birthday!
38. Staying with Franc for a few
days was amazing. Besides having a beautiful and comfortable house, she is
simply a lovely person! So friendly and funny and helpful. I was genuinely sad
to go when the time came to move on - I will miss her presence and her amazing
house and property.
39. Franc is a wonderful host! She
is welcoming, smiling and interesting. We had a great time with her. We had the
best vegan lasagna ever! I am Italian and I can guarantee! The room was nice
and comfortable. The countryside all around the listing is relaxing and
beautiful. Her two dogs, cats and horse are the best part of the family. Our
dog got along with all of them very well and she really enjoyed their company
and the nice walk to the pony's field. The place is very easy to reach and very
well located (just 10-15 min by car to Kilkenny). Thank you for being so welcoming
and for hosting us in this wonderful Irish home!
40. We only spent one night with
Frances, but we will keep a very good memory. We got a charming welcome, very
attentive hosts, comfortable room and large bathroom. The countryside is very
pretty and Kilkenny seems to be a charming and vibrant city.
41. Thank you for your welcome and
kisses to Don Juan and Cupid …
42. Staying at Franc was like
visiting a good friend. She welcomed us very warm and lovely. Right after the
arrival we had an excellent tea together and a very long and lovely talk. Her 2
cute dogs were lovely. Franc laughs a lot - so we had a wonderful time. The
vegetarian breakfast (with self-baked bread, fried mushrooms) was delicious. We
recommend this B&B for all that are looking for a quiet, harmonic
accommodation in nature. On one evening Franc took us to her Salsa-Class. Thank
you very much, Franc, that we could relax well at your B&B!
43. Dear Frances, We want to say
you "Thank you very much!" for the wonderful stay at your home. It
was like coming home to a good friend. We really appreciate your kindness,
honesty, openness and your laughs.
44. Our stay was very positive.
They were incredibly hospitable, friendly and welcoming. They got us going each
day with a big and yummy breakfast and we were very thankful for the hot home
made soup and home made bread that we received upon arrival. We loved the comfy
bed and found it hard to get up in the morning. They were very helpful and
thoughtful one night when I was sick and made me a hot tea and prepared a hot
water bottle. They really went above and beyond. Thank you for a comfortable
two nights!
45. Franc and her family were all
very friendly and we got along very well. They are very generous and welcoming
and even took us for a walk to meet their horse. All their animals were just as
welcoming too! Breakfast was very substantial and accommodation was great.
Highly recommended!
46. Stay with Franc! She is a
wonderful host, both giving space during your stay and making you feel most
welcome the minute you arrive. The house is a pleasure to be in, and the
countryside nearby is virtually primeval forest. I loved having friendly
animals around the house too - a real treat was when Franc walked us up the
road to visit her horses. The other guests staying were lovely people too -
Franc clearly attracts goodness!
47. We stayed one night with Frances
and it was a night to remember! They were the most fabulous people that we had
the good fortune to meet in our lives! Thanks for everything! I highly
recommend this place!!
48. Frances' house is so gorgeous,
calm and peaceful! We talked a long time and we really appreciated their
kindness. We warmly recommend this place!
49. Stay yourself Frances: it was
so pleasant to enter in your world!
I liked that review as Harmony Hall is supposed to represent a different world - where you can live life on your own terms, in harmony with nature and animals... a practice run at how life could be! |
50. Frances was the best person we
can have met to start our road trip in Ireland. She is sweet and a very good
cook. Just one word to describe our visit: brilliant!
51. Very very nice stay at Frances’
home! The home and the room are big and it's a very quiet and peaceful place.
Our hosts were just perfect: sympathetic, interesting people, respectful, and
made us feel at home! It's the place to go!
52. I am not eloquent enough to
describe our incredible stay with Frances. She is an extraordinary person with
a fascinating life history, enormous passion, and generosity. She shared her
unusually peaceful home, pasture, horse, kitty, dogs, and horse with us...just
as much as we wanted. She prepared a wonderful vegan dinner, and breakfast, and
even baked for us. She knows about energy fields and she shared her
"clearing" practice with us, which was phenomenal. Highly recommend
her retreat for a nourishing place to be.
53. Thanks with all my heart. The
clearing was so helpful.
54. It was a truly positive and
joyful experience to stay with Franc as I explored South East Ireland by
bicycle. It was easy to find from instructions on her site and in a place which
allows the exploration of wonderful Irish areas around her. Her abode is
restful and energy giving, the food prepared was just exquisite and heavenly,
the conversation was stimulating and thought provoking and nothing was ever too
much for Franc as she gave of her time with energy and willingness. Franc is a
truly wonderful person to stay with and if you are ever touring this part of
Ireland you will be missing a true gem if you if you do not stop a while. I can
assure you that you will depart with energy and a spring in your step.
55. Hi Frances, Cupid, Don
Juan, Windy and the little dark one ...
