Greetings,

Balikpapan is identified as an endemic city for Dengue Fever in East Kalimantan. In response, the Balikpapan City Government, along with the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, is taking steps to address this by providing the Qdenga Dengue vaccine from PT. Takeda to students in grades 3, 4, and 6. The vaccine will be administered in two doses with a 3-month interval. The first dose will be given at the school from December 5 to 15, 2023 (pending the official schedule from the Gn. Samarinda Health Center).

We urge parents/guardians to read the information about the Dengue vaccine beforehand. If you consent to your child receiving the Dengue vaccine, please fill out the informed consent form from the Health Department before December 4, 2023, using the provided link.
