Is Iran Modern-Day Atlantis

 On Saturday I joined the 24/7 vigil at Lakenheath. Peace workers - most famously the 'Greenham Common Women' ran a successful campaign and got US Nuclear Bombs out of Britain...but now they are back, and they are airborne. 

In full arrogant mode, five set off as the hundreds of us stood there to complain against this illegal war where hundreds of thousands have been killed, maimed and displaced in Iran and Lebanon. They did not ask for war. There is no one to negotiate, if someone sends a message, AI picks it up at once and targets yet another rank of leaders and kills them stone dead.

 I know Britain cannot have an opinion as they were the first to break every rule of war, the first to bomb a ship that was retreating as fast as it could. That is not allowed. 

That happened to the Belgrado in the Falkland's War. Only the Sri Lankan's have behaved well this time, going out to collect survivors and the dead from the ships, sunk off their coast.

Everywhere I look, there are books and references to Persian  and Iranian civilisation, 

art, superior mathematics and we all know of Persian rugs. I flick open this book only to find a perfectly coherent grasp of the duality of our lived experience. 

Every library in other countries seems to be phasing out their Philosophy section, wiping all record of the foundations of Western Civilisation. 

And I thought maybe Iran is the only place that is not crass. Maybe it is our modern-day Atlantis. The only civilisation worth preserving. Then the US President declares 'we're going to bomb you back to the Stone Age'. And I thought, yes that must be the motive. Even blocking a trade route is a peaceful strategy, but laying waste to a whole population of a peaceful nation with indiscriminate bombing isn't really a strategy, it is a it's a psychosis. And not a pip squeak from the UN or anyone except Pakistan, who've actually thought up a solution.

Then I heard that Bill Gates is to talk to Congress tomorrow about his pandemic funding pipeline and other perverse activities with Epstein and friends. I know he's rich, twisted and would do nearly anything to wiggle out of accountability for his crimes but could he also be trying to pull the plug on the whole world the night before. That is taking throwing a sicky to a whole new level.

As a woman, I'm tempted to say just put the planes and weapons down and step back. 

The peace rally was magic, with all ages there, musicians, drummers, poets, speakers, and the sun shone on us.
